Meet our founder Ping. She a Chinese Malaysian and has a huge passion for food and cooking. Through her travels around South East Asia, Ping’s was raised and brought up helping out in her family’s chinese restaurant and takeaway, which is where her interests in cooking really began.

She has done work experience at Le Manoir aux Quat Saisons, Oxfordshire gaining a huge insight in michelin star cuisine. Ping has achieved a foundation certificate in Oriental & Asian cuisine at The School of Wok. She also worked at many street food markets such as Camden Lock Market and Dinerama in Shoreditch prior to starting The Ugly Dumplings in December 2015.
